Using the Barber Home Screen

Full walkthrough of the barber Home screen: Quick Actions, notifications, Booking Requests, today's appointments, and business stats.

Using the Barber Home Screen

Your Home screen is your starting point in theCut. It gives you quick access to the tools you use throughout your day, shows what needs your attention, helps you manage today's appointments, and gives you insight into how your business is performing.

From your Home screen, you can:

  • Access commonly used tools with Quick Actions

  • Check notifications and communications

  • Review pending booking requests

  • See and manage today's appointments

  • Contact clients

  • Check out completed appointments

  • Track bookings, revenue, clients, reviews, profile activity, and more

Here's how to make the most of it.

Quick Actions

At the top of your Home screen, you'll find Quick Actions—shortcuts to tools you may use regularly throughout your day.

These include:

  • Charge – Start a payment for a client.

  • Schedule – Schedule an appointment.

  • Voucher – Issue a voucher directly to a client.

  • Invite – Invite a client to connect with you on theCut.

  • Blast – Send a message to multiple clients.

💡 Tip: Don't see the action you're looking for? Scroll the Quick Actions to the left to see additional options.

Using these shortcuts can save you time by letting you start common tasks without navigating to another area of the app.

🔔 Check Your Notifications

In the top-right corner of your Home screen, you'll find notifications for activity that may need your attention.

This can include notifications related to:

  • Appointments

  • Subscriptions

  • Messages

  • Other communications and account activity

If you see a notification waiting, tap the appropriate notification to review it.

Making a habit of checking this area can help you stay on top of client communication, appointment activity, and other important updates.

Booking Requests

When you have appointment requests waiting for your response, you'll see a Booking Requests section near the top of your Home screen.

Tap this section to open and review all of your requested appointments.

From there, you can review each request and decide how you'd like to handle the appointment.

💡 Tip: Check your Booking Requests regularly. Responding to requests quickly helps clients know whether their requested appointment is secured and keeps pending requests from being overlooked.

Today's Appointments

Your Home screen gives you a visual timeline of your appointments for the day, so you can quickly see who's coming in and what's ahead.

The line represents your day, with your scheduled appointments appearing along it. The client bubbles above the timeline correspond with each client's appointment.

Tap a client bubble to select that appointment.

Once selected, the information shown below the timeline will update for that client and appointment, including details such as their:

  • Service

  • Appointment start time

You can also quickly message or call the client directly from this view when you need to get in touch.

Manage an Appointment From Home

Selecting a client's appointment gives you access to the actions you may need throughout your workday.

Depending on the appointment and its status, you can:

  • Message the client

  • Call the client

  • Check out a completed service

  • Mark as No Show if the client doesn't arrive

  • Cancel the appointment

  • Reschedule the appointment

This lets you handle many common appointment tasks without having to leave your Home screen.

Need to see more?

Tap the arrow on the side of the appointment to open the full appointment details page.

Use this when you need additional appointment information or options beyond what's available in the Home screen's quick view.

💡 Tip: Always make sure you've selected the correct client and appointment before completing actions such as checkout, cancellation, rescheduling, or marking a client as a No Show.

📊 Understand Your Business Stats

Scroll below your appointments to find your business stats.

This section gives you a quick look at how your business is performing and helps you understand what's happening beyond today's schedule.

You can view your performance by day, week, or month across several important areas of your business.

View Your Stats for a Different Day

The bars on your stats graphs are interactive.

Tap a different bar on the graph to select another day. The information and totals shown will update so you can see your performance for that date.

This makes it easier to compare different days and spot patterns in your business.

You can also pull down on the Home screen to refresh your analytics when you want to make sure you're viewing your latest available information.

💡 Tip: Look at these stats together. One number doesn't always tell the full story. Comparing Bookings, Hours Booked, Revenue, New Clients, and Profile Views can give you a better understanding of what's happening in your business and where you have opportunities to grow.

💡 Tip: Try comparing more than just your busiest days. Looking at slower days can help you identify where you have room to add appointments or focus your marketing efforts.

📈 Turn Your Stats Into Action

Your stats are most useful when you look at them together rather than focusing on one number by itself.

Here's what some common patterns could tell you:

Your Profile Views are increasing, but your Bookings aren't.

People are finding you, but they may not be taking the next step. Review your portfolio, bio, services, pricing, availability, reviews, and booking settings to make sure your profile gives potential clients what they need to confidently book.

You're bringing in more New Clients.

That's an opportunity to build your regular clientele. Focus on providing a great experience, encouraging clients to book their next appointment, and giving them a reason to return.

Your Bookings are strong, but your Reviews aren't increasing.

Consider reminding satisfied clients to leave a review after their appointment. More recent reviews can help build trust with people discovering your profile.

Your Bookings are increasing.

Take a look at Hours Booked and Revenue too. Together, these numbers can give you a better understanding of how increased bookings are affecting both your schedule and earnings.

You notice certain days consistently have more open time.

Those may be good days to focus your marketing efforts. Consider promoting your availability through social media, client outreach, referrals, or other marketing tools.

📊 Business Tip: Your numbers won't look the same every day—and they don't need to. Look for patterns over time. Your stats can help you understand what's working, where you have opportunities, and where you may want to make changes.

Make Your Home Screen Part of Your Routine

Your Home screen isn't just where you find your next appointment. Using it throughout your day can help you stay organized and make better use of the tools available to you.

Before your day starts:

Check your notifications and Booking Requests, then review your appointment timeline so you know what's ahead.

Between clients:

Select your next appointment to review the service and start time. If needed, message or call your client directly from the appointment.

After a service:

Use the available appointment actions to manage the completed appointment and check out your client.

Throughout the week or month:

Review your stats to see what's happening with your bookings, revenue, schedule, new clients, reviews, and profile activity.

💡 Growth Tip: Don't just use the Home screen to manage what's happening today. Checking your business stats regularly can help you recognize trends and make more informed decisions about your schedule, marketing, and client growth.
