Stay Connected and Share Feedback About Your Experience
Whether you have a question about your appointment, need to follow up with your barber, or want to share feedback after your visit, theCut gives you ways to do both.
Use Messaging when you need to communicate directly with your barber about an appointment. After a completed appointment, you can also leave a review to share your experience.
Message Your Barber
Have a question about an upcoming or recent appointment?
You can message your barber directly through theCut.
How to Send a Message
You can message your barber from two places in the app.
From your Home screen:
Find the upcoming appointment on your Home screen.
Tap the Message icon, located next to the Adjust Tip icon.
Type your message and send it to your barber with the green Send button.
From the appointment's details page:
Open Appointments.
Select the appointment.
Tap the Message icon on the top right hand corner.
Type your message and send it to your barber with the green Send button.
Messaging can be helpful when you need to:
Ask a question about your appointment
Clarify arrival or location details
Discuss a service
Follow up about something that happened during your visit
Communicate directly about an appointment concern
💡 Tip: Keep appointment-related conversations in theCut when possible. It makes it easier to keep the conversation and appointment information together.
Leave a Review
After a completed appointment, you can share feedback about your experience by leaving a review.
How to Leave a Review
Open My Appointments .
Select the completed appointment with the Barber.
Tap the Profile Image of the barber
Scroll down to Reviews
Click the white Plus (+) sign
Rate your experience
Add feedback about your visit.
Review and submit with the top right hand corner Check button.
Your review helps other clients learn more about what it's like to book with that barber.
Deleting a Review
Changed your mind about a review you left? You can delete it directly from the barber's profile.
Go to the barber's profile.
Scroll down to Reviews.
Your review should appear up top
Tap the red Delete button on the right side of the review.
What Should I Include in My Review?
The most helpful reviews focus on your actual experience.
You might share feedback about:
The service you received
The quality of the cut or service
Your experience with the barber
Communication
Timeliness
The shop or appointment experience
Something the barber did especially well
Your review doesn't have to be long. Clear, specific feedback is usually more useful than simply saying something was "good" or "bad."
💡 Tip: Write about your own experience and stick to details that would be useful to another client considering the barber.
Should I Message My Barber or Leave a Review?
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
Message Your Barber When:
You have a question, need clarification, or would like to communicate directly about something that may be resolved between you and the barber.
For example:
You need arrival instructions.
You have a question about your service.
Something about the appointment needs clarification.
You'd like to discuss a concern directly.
Leave a Review When:
You want to share feedback about your completed experience.
Reviews aren't only for problems.
Had a great experience? Say so. Your feedback can help other clients feel more confident booking that barber.
Had an experience that didn't meet your expectations? You can share that too.
You Can Do Both
Messaging and reviews serve different purposes.
Communicating with your barber about an issue doesn't prevent you from sharing honest feedback about your experience afterward.
What If My Concern Is More Serious?
Some situations may require more than messaging your barber or leaving a review.
If your concern involves things like:
Inappropriate or concerning conduct
Harassment, discrimination, or threats
Suspected fraud or scams
Significant payment concerns
Hygiene or sanitation concerns
Other behavior you believe theCut should review contact our Support team directly.
Good to Know
Reviews should reflect your personal experience with the barber.
If a review is reported because it may violate theCut's review policies, our team can review it and determine whether further action is appropriate.
Barbers may respond publicly to your review. If you'd rather work something out privately, you can message your barber directly instead of, or in addition to, leaving a review.
Best Practices
When communicating or sharing feedback:
Be specific about what happened.
Keep appointment-related messages clear and focused.
Share feedback based on your personal experience.
Leave your review while the details of your appointment are still fresh.
Contact Support directly when an issue involves safety, fraud, or other serious concerns.
