Looking for your next barber? theCut makes it easy to discover barbers near you, compare their work, find availability, and book an appointment.

Here's how to go from searching to getting in the chair.

Search uses your location to show barbers near you.

You can:

Using your current location makes it easier to see barbers closest to you, but location permissions aren't required to search.

Open the Search tab to explore barbers and shops in your area.

Your Search results give you a quick look at each barber before you open their full profile.

Depending on the barber, you may see:

You'll also see shops near the top of Search, giving you another way to explore barbers in your area.

Use filters when you have something specific in mind.

💡 Tip: Combine filters to narrow your options. For example, you could look for a highly rated barber within five miles who's available today and accepts card payments.

Before booking, take a few minutes to explore the barber's profile.

Look at:

Finding the right barber isn't just about who's closest. Look for someone whose work, services, availability, and pricing match what you're looking for.

You can get a quick view of upcoming availability directly from a barber's Search card.

Use the daily availability indicators to explore upcoming days and available timeframes.

When you find a barber and timeframe that works for you, open their profile to see the full booking options.

Once you've found the right barber:

Available payment options may vary depending on the barber's settings.

After you submit your booking, keep an eye on the appointment's status.

Your Appointment Details page includes important information about your booking, including:

You can find your appointments anytime by opening Appointments in the app.

Your appointments are organized into:

A booking request is not necessarily a confirmed appointment.

If your appointment shows as Requested, the barber still needs to accept it.

Once the barber accepts your request, the appointment will show as Confirmed.

💡 Tip: Always check that your appointment is Confirmed before heading to the shop.

If your barber works from a residential location, their exact address remains hidden until your appointment is confirmed.

Once confirmed, check your Appointment Details for the location information you'll need for your visit.

Need to ask a question before your appointment?

Messaging is useful for appointment-specific questions, directions, or anything you need to clarify before your visit.

If your appointment is still Requested and the barber hasn't responded, check how soon the appointment is before deciding what to do next. If the timeframe no longer works for you, you can cancel the request and look for another available barber.

Want an extra reminder?

Export your appointment to your phone's calendar and enable notifications so you can easily keep track of your upcoming visit.

Filtering or sorting your Search results only changes the barbers you see.

It doesn't affect any appointments you've already requested or booked.

The payment methods available during booking depend on the payment options the barber has enabled.

Before heading to your appointment, make sure it shows as Confirmed.

A Requested appointment is still waiting for the barber's approval.
