New intro article summarizing the UI refresh for barbers: Home, stats, profile, Profile Link, Calendar, and reviews.

What's New: A Fresh Look for theCut

Barbers! We've refreshed theCut with a cleaner, more modern experience and made some of the tools you use every day easier to find.

Most of the features you already know still work the same way. But you'll notice updates across your Home screen, Profile, Calendar, Reviews, and more.

Here's what's changed and where to find everything.

🏠 A New Home Experience

What's Changed

Your Home screen has been redesigned to put more of the tools you use every day right up front.

You'll now find Quick Actions for things like:

  • Voucher

  • Invite

  • Other frequently used actions

You'll also see more information about your business without needing to navigate through different parts of the app.

Why It Matters

The things you do most often are now easier to reach, so you can spend less time looking for tools and more time managing your business.

What You Need to Do

Nothing. Your updated Home screen is ready to use.

📊 See Your Business at a Glance

What's Changed

Your Home dashboard still includes a Stats section where you can quickly see:

  • Bookings

  • Revenue

  • Transactions

  • Tips

  • Hours Booked

  • Reviews

You can switch between Day, Week, and Month views to see how your business is performing over different periods.

Why It Matters

You no longer have to dig through different parts of the app to get a quick look at your business.

Your key activity is available right from Home.

What You Need to Do

No setup is required. Open your Home screen and use the available timeframe options to explore your Stats.

👤 Your Profile Has a Fresh Look

What's Changed

Your barber profile has been refreshed with a cleaner layout that makes your information easier to scan.

Your existing information carried over automatically.:

  • Profile information

  • Bio

  • Photos

  • Portfolio

  • Location

  • Hours

We've also made some of your profile tools easier to manage.

Why It Matters

Your profile is one of the first places clients go when deciding whether to book with you. The refreshed design makes it easier for clients to learn about you and explore your work.

What You Need to Do

Nothing is required. Your existing profile information carried over automatically.

Still, this is a good time to take a look at your profile and make sure your photos, bio, services, and business information are current.

🔗 Profile Link & QR Code in One Place

What's Changed

Your Profile Link and QR Code can now be managed from the same place.

Go to:

Settings → Edit Profile Link

From there, you can:

  • Copy your Profile Link

  • Share your Profile Link

  • Download your QR Code

Why It Matters

It's easier to grab your booking information when you want to promote your business through social media, text, your website, printed materials, or right at your station.

What You Need to Do

Nothing unless you want to share your link or download your QR Code.

📱 Add Your Social Media Profiles

What's Changed

You can now add your social media accounts directly to your barber profile.

From your Edit Profile screen, you can connect supported accounts such as:

  • Instagram

  • TikTok

  • YouTube

Why It Matters

Potential clients can see more of your work and connect with your business beyond theCut before deciding to book.

What You Need to Do

Social links aren't added automatically.

If you'd like them displayed on your profile, open Edit Profile and add the accounts you want clients to see.

📅 More Calendar Controls

What's Changed

Your Calendar now gives you quicker access to the tools you use to manage your day.

At the top, you'll find:

  • Filter to control which appointment statuses appear

  • Today to quickly return to today's schedule

  • Booking Requests to see appointments waiting for your attention

  • The ➕ button for additional scheduling actions

From the ➕ menu, you can:

  • Add a New Appointment

  • Block time

  • Open additional availability

Why It Matters

Managing appointments, availability, and booking requests can all happen from the same place.

What You Need to Do

No setup is required.

Take a minute to familiarize yourself with the new Calendar controls so you know where everything lives.

👥 Invite Clients From Home

What's Changed

Invite is now available as a Quick Action from your Home screen.

This gives you another quick way to invite clients who currently book with you outside of theCut.

Why It Matters

Your existing clients shouldn't have to search for you.

Inviting them helps connect your clientele with your theCut profile and makes it easier for them to book with you moving forward.

What You Need to Do

When you have a client who isn't connected with you on theCut yet, use Invite from your Home screen to send them an invitation.

⭐ A New Look for Reviews

What's Changed

Reviews have a refreshed display on your barber profile.

Your profile can now highlight a featured review near the top, giving clients a quick look at feedback from your clients.

Reviews also use a rolling 30-day posting window as part of how they're surfaced.

Why It Matters

Recent, relevant feedback is easier for potential clients to see while they're considering booking with you.

What You Need to Do

Nothing. Your existing reviews remain part of your profile.

Continue providing great experiences and earning reviews from your clients.
