theCut keeps your chair booked and your clients in the loop with smart notifications and smooth Mobile Pay transactions.

In today’s fast-paced world, appointment chaos isn’t an option. theCut makes sure barbers and clients stay locked in with in-app, email, and now SMS notifications to keep appointments running like a fresh fade. 💨💈

📅 What Clients Get:

  • Confirmation notifications via email and in-app once the appointment is booked

  • A 2-hour reminder before their appointment

  • Option to export appointments to their calendar

  • NEW: SMS text notifications for key updates (when a phone number is added to the appointment!)

👉 Heads up: Clients need to enable notifications on their devices to receive updates. Barbers—be sure to remind them! No one likes a missed appointment.

📲 How to Enable Notifications:

iPhone:

Settings > theCut > Notifications > Toggle ON “Allow Notifications”

Android (OS 10+):

Settings > Notifications > App Settings > theCut > Toggle Notifications ON

If notifications aren’t coming through:

  1. First verify that notification settings for theCut app are properly enabled under Settings > theCut > Notifications.

  2. If settings look correct, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This ensures that any technical glitches causing notifications to fail are resolved.

Note: Currently, all notification settings must be managed through your device settings as theCut app does not have built-in notification controls. Check regularly for app updates, as future versions may include enhanced notification management directly within the app.

No stress—just reach out to [email protected] with your email and we’ll get it sorted. In the meantime, you can ignore the extra emails.


💳 Mobile Pay Just Hits Different

With preauthorization built-in, theCut’s Mobile Pay confirms clients have funds available before the service starts—similar to booking a hotel or rideshare. Barbers confirm appointments in the app to trigger notifications and avoid any confusion. After the cut, clients receive automatic receipts via email. Clean, clear, and professional. ✅
