Add Photos to Your Barber Profile

How barbers grant photo-gallery access and add portfolio photos to their profile, plus best practices for choosing which photos to use.

Showcase Your Work and Build Client Trust

Your photos are one of the first things potential clients see when deciding whether to book with you.

Clear, recent photos help showcase your skills, style, and the quality of your work. Keep your profile updated with photos that give clients confidence in what they can expect when they sit in your chair.

Before You Begin

To upload photos from your device, theCut needs permission to access your photo gallery.

If you've already given theCut access to your photos, you can add images directly from within the app.

Allow Photo Access on iPhone

If theCut doesn't have access to your photos:

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Scroll down to Apps and select theCut.

  3. Tap Photos.

  4. Select Full Access.

Once permission is enabled, return to theCut to add photos to your profile.

💡 Tip: Selecting All Photos gives you access to your full photo gallery when adding new images to your profile.

Add Photos to Your Profile

Once you've given theCut permission to access your photos, add your images directly from within theCut app.

  1. Head to your Profile

  2. Tap the Gallery icon

  3. Tap the top right hand corner ‘+’ icon to add in images.

Choose photos from your gallery that best represent your work and add them to your profile.

Best Practices

Make your photos work harder for your profile by:

  • Using clear, well-lit images.

  • Showing your most recent work.

  • Including different cuts and services you offer.

  • Choosing photos that clearly show the finished result.

  • Removing outdated photos that no longer represent your work.

  • Adding new photos regularly as your skills and style evolve.

Avoid blurry, dark, or outdated photos that make it difficult for clients to see your work.

Pro Tip

Think of your photos as your digital portfolio.

Clients who haven't booked with you before don't have firsthand experience with your work yet. Your photos help them understand your style, see what you're capable of, and feel more confident choosing you.

Before uploading a photo, ask yourself:

Would this photo make someone want to sit in my chair?

If the answer is yes, it's probably worth adding.
